Part of my debut on Twitter is due to 27Shaw spa. Nakita ko ang bagong spa na ito sa thread na ginawa ni Twitter reviewer @AquamanPLU (follow him on Twitter) sa PeopleLikeUs.
As a well-known spa reviewer on Twitter, he was invited to attend the soft opening for influencers and bloggers. However, he declined the invitation for personal reasons. Kaya ako naman ay grab by the balls, este, the opportunity of going on his behalf. Read the BACKSTORY Twitter thread above for the details.

RECEPTION. So, fast-forward to the day, narating ko na ang spa. Pagpasok ko ng main door ay bumungad ang reception counter. Halatang busy ang mga nasa desk sa pag-aayos ng appointment ng mga clients. Pero kahit busy sila ay they welcome walk-ins sa spa.
Functional din as bar counter at the opposite side. Heto pala yung free snack and drink na offer nila – chocolate chip cookies and kemelur (forgot the name) citrus tea.
LOUNGE AREA. Sa likod ng mirrored sliding door makikita ang kanilang lounge with ample seating area to sit, relax, or mingle with other customers. You may marvel at the paintings while waiting. No TV sighted so far which might be in tented to encourage spa goers to interact with each other.
Pagpasok mo sa first door may stairs leading to 2F (more on that later) sa kanan. Walk forward, may male attendant na babati sa customers.

LOCKER AREA. Benjie ang name ng isa sa mga male attendants. Super friendly and helpful ni bagets! I gave him my locker number 69. 😆
Iniabot ni Benjie ang towel at robe. Yung towel ay maliit lang at nung sinuot ko ay parang mini-skirt ang haba. May chance talaga na masilipan ka kapag nakaupo ala Sharon Stone sa Basic Instinct. The fabric quality felt nice on the hands, especially yung cotton robe na pang hotel ang dating. Extra towel and robe charges apply.
There are more than a hundred RFID lockers. The area is rather small so kapag crowded dito expect na rubbing elbows (and more) with others. May dalawang ottoman benches at the center. And across it are 3 baskets for your used items.

VANITY. If vanity is your game, 27shaw does not disappoint! Maganda ang lighting and the mirrors forda selfies. On the counter are three sinks with faucets. May hairdryer and basic toiletries provided. On the left is the toilet room.
SHOWERS. From the Vanity on your right is the door to the wet area. You’ll find the shower area with 6 spacious stalls. So spacious na kasya 5 tao sa isang enclosure. May frosted glass panel na divisions in between. A large shower curtain gives the user enough privacy.
HAMMAM. Bago ka pumasok sa Hammam ay may small space with two wooden benches na pwedeng waiting area. Yung Hammam ay bago sa pandinig, and I assume dito gagawin ang “bath” assisted by a therapist. Malawak din yung 2 platform. For now, it serves as an extension of the steam room.
DRY SAUNA. Amoy mo ang musk/wood scent sa loob ng sauna. At may sauna tower eme din sa gitna na similar sa sauna tower ng HopeMed Spa. Ang seating area ay walang sharp corners baka kasi matusok ka sa kanto kapag madilim sa loob. Ibang tusok nalang sa ibang kanto. Char!

STEAM ROOM. This one is a bigger and more discreet space for cruising. Pagpasok sa door ay may anteroom with two shower stalls (back to back). There is another door leading to the steam room with a rather long L-shape ledge to sit on.

Massage enthusiasts will be delighted to find the 2nd floor dedicated to massage services. Meron kasing mga discreet customers na ayaw dumaan ng wet area at ang gusto lang ay masahe.
The establishment is known for its wet area. However, 27shaw spa’s massage offerings are hungry in getting the lion’s share of attention. The Explorer in particular is one of the most talked about topics in recent reviews during the soft opening.
Now back to me at the wet area, after 15 minutes of exploration ay tinawag na si candidate, este, locker 69 ni Benjie, the attendant. Ako yun! Maghanda na raw para sa massage. Nagpatuyo ako, put on my robe and waited at the locker area to be assisted to 2F.
Habang paakyat sa carpeted na stairway to heaven, napatingala ako sa liwanag mula sa round pendant lights sa ceiling. May nag-aabang na attendant na mag-assist sa akin papunta sa WAITING AREA. Upo muna raw at antayin na sunduin ng therapist.
I was later on joined by four other customers sa couch. So ano ito, top 5 candidates? LOL!
Di nagtagal ay isa-isa nang dumating ang mga escorts namin, este, masseurs para ihatid sa kanya-kanyang cubicle. Maraming cubicles dito.
Dalawa na lang kami na naiwan sa waiting area. Sino kaya sa amin ang mag-wawagi? But first, kailangan ko muna mag-retouch at buti na lang at may sariling POWDER ROOM sa 2F. Pagbalik ko ay dumating ang isa pang therapist at tinawag ang kasama ko. Ayyy!
Sinundo na ako ni Prince at inihatid sa aking MASSAGE CUBICLE. Elevated ang leather massage bed with face hole. May basket na nakaayos kasama ang mga items gaya ng oil, alcohol, extra towels. Dimmed ang light sa cubicle providing me with ample privacy.
Show Me Lust and What It’s All About
Heto na ang bortang therapist ng 27shaw na si Prince. Dahil sa kanyang malawak na karanasan sa masahe, here and abroad, siya ang nag-train sa mga masahista ng spa. Talagang may skills siya sa massage. Did I say na ang borta niya? 😁
May mga choices naman ng masseurs na available. At sa tingin ko ay naturuan naman sila ni Prince nang maayos. Pero naisip ko rin, kung susubok na rin ako why not aim for their head? So nirequest ko si Prince at napagbigyan naman ang aking hiling.
Nakapagset na ako ng appointment kay Prince. Pero na-cancel din. Twice. Maraming mga clients, limitado ang available therapists, at kailangan niya magfocus sa training. Ayoko rin naman magpalit ng therapist kaya nag-adjust ako, pero with a warning. Haha!
Natuwa naman ako at base sa mga replies ni Prince I had an impression na mabait siya. Anyway, natuloy na nga kami dahil sa kurot threat ko. Char! Sa wet area muna ako naghintay para maglinis ng katawan bilang prep sa EXPLORER with Prince.
Pagkahatid sakin sa cubicle, naghubad na ako ng damit from evening gown (robe pala, chos!) to my birthday suit at dumapa na sa bed. Soon after, Prince joined me for the 80-min Explorer. The other one is called Everyman which is like a combi massage.
EXPLORER yung sensual massage nila. He pointed at the clock para ma-orasan namin ang session. Simulan na! He started with the dagan-dagan warm up muna. Ugh! Sherep. I wondered why Explorer ang tawag sa massage sa 27shaw spa. Ang sabi sa mga reviews, ang EXPLORER ay combination ng different massage techniques. In my experience, yes combination ito at ang majority ay naka-focus sa sensual strokes. If you like the Lomi-Lomi and tantric massage, this one is for you.
Instead of me asking what it’s like, pinadama sa akin ni Prince kung ano ang Explorer. Habang nakadapa ako na parang nakabukang treasure map naramdaman ko ang “location pin” na tumutusok. ❌ marks the spot!📍Alam na this!
And boy oh boy! His strong hands did a lot of exploration – every nook and cranny! Strong pressure on my key spots plus gentle strokes on my sensitive privies were applied. Exploration takes courage and he didn’t hesitate to touch EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE, or even ALL AT ONCE! 😂
Then, it’s not just him exploring. I also did my own exploration. Our joint exploration unlocked some potential “oil reserves” na kailangan ng deeper “digging” & eventually nahanap din namin iyon at masaya ang ending after 80 mins. Wala namang oil spillage. Wala nga ba? 😉
Toward the end, he did a chiropractor thing on me. Sarap sa pakiramdam ng mga tumunog! The EXPLORER has ended. I checked the clock at tama naman ang duration. I asked Prince if I could stay for a few minutes in the cubicle to rest. Nagpaalam na rin siya after the session. 🤴

Chupsie, can you compare the masseurs in thailand with ours here. How do they fare? Whos got the edge?
Hi Steven! I can compare them based on two things: Looks and Performance. Thai masseurs look better than Pinoys. They are also bigger down there, if you know what I mean. 😋
On the other hand, Pinoy masseurs perform better in my opinion. They are more “malambing” and can connect to clients. There is a language barrier with Thais and their nasal speaking voice might not appeal to some.
