Chupsie Travels: Arena Spa, Bangkok – A Whole Nu World

Hello, my loyal subjects! It’s me! Your lollipop royalty is back again from an extraordinary adventure this time in Bangkok.

Of course mas masaya kung kasama ang mga beshies in exploring the wonders of this city. Together with Beshies J, R, and M from the last Davao trip mas marami kaming napuntahan at naranasan this time. Pero ang focus ko sa post na ito ay tungkol sa isang spa. What a surprise di ba? Maiba lang. Hahaha!

When in Bangkok go to the Arena

And I truly believe that it is a must-try for all “spakol” lovers! It’s located at Silom Plaza, 491/23-24, 3/F, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand. They are open from 12pm until 11pm but the best time to visit is at 2pm.

At dahil kaming apat ay mga discreet (Char!) dapat low-key ang arrive namin. So kailangan dressed appropriately ako.

No traces ng kabaklaan, este, ng royalty!

Sinunod naman namin ang directions papunta sa plaza. Pero may mga konting challenges kaming kinaharap sa paghahanap ng Arena Spa. You see, kung ano ang kinaganda ko ay yun ang kinahina ng aking navigation skills. Juice colored! Kaya heto ang tip ko sa inyo if ever you stumble on the same hurdle.

Kung may makita kayong mga yummy Thai boys sundan ninyo and they will eventually lead you to the spa. Hahaha!

Inisa-isa namin sinilip ang mga shops hanggang makita namin ang pot of gold!

When we entered the room we were greeted with a warm Thai hospitality. Kinausap kami ng spa manager a.k.a. “mamasan” nila at ipinaliwanag sa amin ang types of massage, rates at iba pa. She asked us kung ano ba ang hanap namin sa masseur. It is imperative na ibigay sa kanya ang requirements para makarecommend siya ng suitable therapist for you.

Nang hindi pa kami nakapagdesisyon pinaupo muna kaming apat sa couches at nagpashow-up siya ng mga lalaki niya. Similar to the show ups sa atin na nakaline-up ang mga boys at nagtanggal ng mga suot na T-shirts.

There were around 20 masseurs lined-up for our picking. Most are “ER” types – big and muscular. It was tough to make a choice.

And there was Nu

Fortunately, a friend of mine recommended this Thai masseur named Nu. Si friendship ay nagtrabaho sa Bangkok for years and naging therapist niya itong guy. Kaya nararapat lang na ako ay sumangguni sa kanya thru FB.

Me: How will I know if the guy is Nu?

Friend: Just look for the guy with a Koi tattoo on his chest.

Back to Arena, I was scanning a bunch of shirtless men but there was no guy in the line-up that sports a Koi tattoo. Bummer! So I asked the mamasan if Nu was available. He shouted out his name, “NU!!!” Parang nasa bahay lang kung makasigaw si mader!

And at the back of the pack, one guy emerged in front of us. I looked at his chest and there it was…the koi!

I love it. I’ll have him! Pakibalot na po at iuuwi ko na sa Pinas. Charot!

I marked my territory with a fierce look on my face. Akin siya! Back off! Hahaha!

Nang nakapili na kaming apat isa-isa na kaming sinundo ng mga boys from where we were seated to escort us upstairs – where the magic is. LOL! To where the private rooms were located pala.

The room given to me was a decent one and has its own bathroom. Nu asked me to take a shower first before proceeding with the massage. He started preparing the massage bed as I took a shower.
